Ah the good old days
Dave had to go down to Gunnison for a couple meetings this week, so Max and I decided to go with him. We had some friends that moved down there so I thought it was a good idea to go and see them. They live in Moroni, Utah. Such a tiny little town. Random stray dogs just going to town on dead dear on the sides of the road. Ah it was so gross. The smell of turkey poop lingers in the air.... But I had tons of fun. Kinda made me want to move back home to Montana/Washington where life just slows down. I love small towns... more so when they don't stink like turkey! No it wasn't that bad. We went and got some pizza for dinner it was super good. Max loooves pizza. It was fun to just chat and catch up. They have a little girl that 7 months old. Alana. Shes sooo cute!
Natalie and I had so much fun together. I pretty much spent my entire time with her. We just talked and laughed, and made cute crafty things. We made these for my family ornament exchange that we have every year. I thought they turned out really cute. They were super easy to make too.

What the....
Dave and I were driving to meet some friends for dinner the other night, when I noticed a cop driving next to us on the freeway. I looked at him and noticed that he was typing on his laptop with one hand. I thought to myself...wow that's gotta be safe. We then proceeded to pass him, and he sped up to pass us. I then noticed that not only was he still typing on his laptop, but he was using BOTH hands. Now how's that for an example of safe driving?? I just don't understand why they say they are wanting to start pulling people for talking on their cell phones, eating food etc. when cops don't even drive with their hands!

Chocolate Show
Can I just tell everyone how much I LOOOOVE my sister? She got into town after a 16 hour drive from Oklahoma early this morning. I am so dang happy! I just love hanging out, teasing, laughing and being with her. I really wish she lived closer to me. She is my best friend, and I look up to her more than she will ever ever know. She is an amazing mom. She has the freakin' cutest little boys. They just crack me up! I'm am incredibly happy that they are all going to be here for a week. Today has already gone by too fast. I can already imagine how the weeks going to fly by!
I went down to Thanksgiving Point where she is staying for the week. We decided to take out our little babies, and Tairah's sister-in-law Lynsie, to the Chocolate Show at the South Town Expo Center. So it may not have been all that I thought it was cracked up to be, but we still had a awesome time. It was so much smaller than I thought it would be. We just laughed and talked and laughed and ate chocolate, ate more chocolate, and then even more. What can be better than that? There were lots of vendors sampling all their yummy chocolate. No chocolate covered anything... just chocolate. There was organic, chips, chunks, melted chocolate, all kinds! And bread. They had super chewy bread from this bakery in Kamas. Ah it was amazing! Tairah bought 2 loafs. Yum! There were some pretty amazing wedding cakes that some people had made for one competition. Those were really fun to see. They had little cooking shows every hour or so, that they would teach everyone how to make some sort of chocolate delight. My most favorite part was just being able to spend some time with my beautiful, fun sister. I love you tons Tairah!

My two front teef
I've felt so bad for Max these past couple days. He's getting his two front teeth in and it's no fun. He woke up last night and cried for three hours. Yep, threeeee long hours. We felt so helpless. Just a little Motrin, and that's it? Is there anymore suggestions out there? How can I help him not be in so much pain. They popped through today, so I hope the worst is over, but we'll see. He still only has four teeth...

Halloween Party
Our neighbors had a little Halloween Party that we decided we'd go to last minute. Dave dressed up as a snorkeler, I went as Brittney Spears, and Max was a little duck. We had lots of good food and games. It was really fun to meet some new people too.
Max wanted to give it a try too. He was the life of the party and even won the costume contest!

Our little-BIG dog
Its been one week since Emme has been in her new home. Living on a Ranch up in Morgan. I missed her the first couple of days, but I hate to admit that life has been much easier without her. We can just leave and go places and not have to worry about someone watching her, pay for boarding or anything like that. Don't hear that tapping of claws at three in the morning and all the whining for yet another treat. Don't get me wrong. I do miss her. She was a really good dog... for the most part. Dave just couldn't handle one more chewing fest on the camper cables. So we found her a better home where she can run and play. And now a happier husband!

Our Wisdom is Gone
Dave got his wisdom teeth out on Friday. I had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard while he was waking up from the anesthesia. He was cracking jokes so much. Saying over and over that he felt so good. Wants to go on a bike ride...he even offered to take Max.
He asked me how long I had been in the recovery room with him, and I said about 5 min. He then went on to say just how relaxed he felt and was just amazed at how good he felt! Then he asked me..."how long have you been in here"? I would just laugh cause I thought he was totally just kidding. And he would just look at me... "Ive been in here 15 min." Then he would fall asleep- Wake up 2 sec. later and say how he was having a dream about two lizards having a race. One always stopping to change colors, and then running again. He said he was waiting for the Geico lizard to appear...and mumbled something in a British accent. One of the nurses even asked him if he remembered how he got into the recovery room, and he laughed and said "I got into my Star trek time travel..doot dooo doot deee... 'Dr. Flints office please'." I was laughing at him so hard!
He seems totally fine now that the anesthesia is all worn off. He seems to think so too! He was up cleaning and showering, finding anything to do. Then he was throwing up. I think he over did it. I hated it. I felt so helpless. Ah. That's just the worst! Today he's doing much better. He's actually said a couple of times that he's board. Big surprise for someone who's always working and doing something. I'm making him lay down all day and just relax. He deserves some down time to just do nothing. I just hope we don't have anymore nausea...We rented some movies, but our DVD player has decided to stop working. So we are just sitting here playing with a tired baby that can't deiced what he wants. I think its time for a afternoon nap. Well I'm off to make some more Jello- I told ya he loved that stuff! He's already had four tubs of it! I'm happy how good he's feeling and hope the worst is over. Love ya babe!

Red Butte Gardens
This was so much fun. You start out and they give you a little map that you have to get a stamp on 6 squares. There are 6 fire barrels that you have to visit in order to get it stamped. To win a prize at the end. There were so many little kids in their Halloween costumes running all over the place, excited to go to the next event. It was so cute to hear all their excited screams and laughs. To see them all scrambling around trying to seek out the next barrels. There were tons of activities. Pumpkin painting, fortune tellers, potion making, glow in the dark maze a spooky maze, a snake maze, a craft room. There was even a witch and a cat lit up on the side of the mountains.
Us walking down the path towards all the fun.
This is Dave and Max in the glow in the dark maze.
I would recommend this place to anyone. It was really fun! They have put so much work into the place, and have made it so creative. Today is that last night, I think it goes till 9. See if you can make it! Its worth it.

Our little Boy
Dave is amazing. He always has so much to talk about... so many funny, crazy, weird stories to tell all the time on his blog, and I can't think of anything.
-
This is Max. He's what I do all day everyday and I love it. He is at the age right now that I wish he could stay at for a while longer. He's really studying everything and figuring it all out. Starting to crawl around. Walks all over the house in his walker, just feels so big! He's starting to make really good eye contact. Just looks at me, and smiles. Such a sweet, tender boy! Being a mom is the most amazing thing I will ever do! I can't believe he's almost 1! This year has gone by so fast. I really feel like I was just holding him in the hospital just looking at him with blurry eyes from my happy tears.
-
This is all I feel like my blog is going to be. All about Max. Maybe I could even just call it Max's Journal? He's just recently learned how to give kisses. Leans in towards you with his mouth wide open and his tongue stickin' out. Tonight he kept kissin' and kissin' and kissin'. Just slobbering all over my face....he would kiss me and we would just laugh. He makes me so happy. It was fun to just have him all to myself while Dave was gone these past few days. I'm so happy that I get to stay home with him. He's such a good kid.

Well little Max. I think we're gonna keep ya after all!

Pumkin Patch
The other day I went to visit Rachael- one of my really good friends who lives up in Harrisville. She is amazing. Has two of the cutes kids ever! Connor he's almost 2 and loves to play and watch Thomas the Tank Engine over and over and over.... He has to cutest brown eyes and such a heart warming laugh. He's so much fun. Jordyn is 8 weeks. So tiny. I love new baby's. Can I have another...??
Anyways- we have been friends for 7 years now. Has it really been that long...? Where does the time go? ...We were just working at Nutra on the pick line. Going to the Toco Maker and getting crispie burritos and mountain dew. Now we both have kids and we are on our way to a pumpkin patch. I love it!
This is the cutest place ever. They make tons of wreaths, and have all sorts of dried flowers and plants. Produce. Hay. Gourds. We went for pumpkins.
Lyle was quick to warn us as we picked out our pumpkins to "be careful, there's been ghosts flying around here." He went into his shed and brought out a bright yellow bucket with a hole on the bottom. He put some heavy plastic over the top, and tied a rubber band in the middle of it. When he pulled it, it would send big gusts of air swooshing someones shoulder, or back. It was so funny to see it hit some people and have them turn around each way wondering what it was that hit them. With a werid expression on their face. Lyle would just laugh and say "I told ya there were ghost around here."

Dinner Anyone?
Hello again-
I really think I'm the worst at this yet. Only 1 post in almost 2 weeks, that's awesome. Life has been great. Time seems to have slowed down. The weather is cool, and it gets dark early. That's my least favorite thing about winter, is that it gets dark at 7:00. Makes me feel so tired. We posted our dog, I'm going to try to find her a good home before she gets killed....ahem. She has good and bad days. Don't they always? I think that no one will want her, and we'll just have to keep her. Some days I'm OK with that!? ...who knows. Well I best be going. Better do something with my day- now that its almost over. Laundry is calling, so are dishes, the floors, me baby. Lots to do. Hope ya'll have a great night. Who wants to come over for dinner? I want to make something really good. Salmon anyone? I've also been wanting to make Gingerbread Cheesecake....any takers?
Or this...
Or whatever you want me to make.
mmm' mmm' good.

Im a Blogger...a Vogelsblogger.
So I'm starting to feel a little left out...poor me. I'm feeling like I've been missing out on all the BLOG action, so I thought I'd make one of me own! So here goes....
Today has felt like spring. Weird I know. Maybe just that crisp feeling in the air? I love watching the seasons change, that's what I love most about living in Utah. I love the sun. Growing up in Montana, there wasn't always sun, so its super nice to have it all year! This is hard for me, I'm really not that much of a writer. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. Ha. I'm tired. My teeth hurt still! Well more like my entire jaw. I got my wisdom teeth out, and sheesh I feel like a wuss. Having Max was so much easier than this! I just feel like I want to EAT. Not just mashed potatoes, eggs and jello- but real food. Maybe in a couple more days?? Dave is just the person you want around when you need to be taken care of. He's amazing! He seriously bought 5 kinds of instant mashed potatoes with gravy, 4 little tubs of red, orange, and green Jello all lined up in the fridge. Jiggling when I open it, trying to get my attention. I still have 3 left. I'm sure when Dave gets his out, I won't be able to keep up with the Jello. He loves it. I'm actually really surprised he hasn't eaten the rest. hmm.
He just works and works that guy. Works all day and night. Here I am relaxing trying to write something...something. And he's working away putting my closet together. I should really go help him. We- I shouldn't say that....HE has done all the work. Re-modeling this damn house....will it ever end?
Well here's to the new blog. I hope to keep up on it often. Wish me luck, that I'll have stuff to write about.
